The International Society for Krishna Consciusness (ISKCON) also known as the Hare Krishna Movement is a non-secratian, non profitable and non discriminating organization that respcets all religions and cultural traditions. Founded in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

One of the major projects of ISKCON is the Food For Life Program where we try to share Lord Krishna's remnants and mercy through prasadam distrubution. It was founded as a charitable branch of the Hare Krishana Movement in 1974, established locally in 1984 in cooperation with local government unit civic organizations and various NGO's but has volunters for all religions and racial backgrounds involved in program all over the world.


Food for Life Mission and Vision

It's main MISSION is to unite people through food and expand the distrubution of the sanctified vegetarian meals to all. Hare Krishna Food For Life is a non- sectarian and non-discriminating organization that respect all religions and cultural organizations.

To establish massive free prasadam (sanctified food offered to God) distrubution program all over the world, so that all beings are adequatablely nourished with Krishna prasadam, and there shall be no unnecessary hunger anywhere.

Aims and Objectives

  • Welfare - To eradicate hunger and malnutrition by providing free vegetarian meals to the disadvantaged, and victims of disaster (natural or manmade), wherever there is a need in the world.

  • Health - To establish Food For Life Health Eduacation Cenetrs  throughout the world. These centers will provide free or inexpensive vegetarian meals, counseling, health education, and living skills training to those in need.

  • Youth Development - To establish Rural Academics for youth ("Krishna's R.A.Y. of Hope"), where by people from the ages of 16-25 are trained in Bhakti Yoga, Cow protection, and sustainable agriculture, centered around spiritual values.

  • Hospitality - To revive the acient Vedic culture of hospitality, and to teach people by example, that there is.
